The Diesel Service Yard Of The "New" JJJ&E



The Diesel Service Yard is located at the north end of the Switching Yard en-route to the town of San Marino. The Diesel Service yard has six tracks available for "F' units and "E" units. All the "F" units are consists of at least four units. Located behind the Diesel Service yard is the San Marino Coal Loading Facility, the largest industry on the "New" JJJ&E. This Coal Loading Facility is almost forty inches long.

This corner of the Switching Yard is now completely scenicked. The San Marino Coal Loading Facility was kit bashed and now fits in a smaller foot print The Diesel Service Yard has six tracks in this part of the Switching Yard. All the "F' units are at least consisted with four units. A ATSF 2-8-4 Berkshire #4113 is on one of the mainline tracks headed to San Marino. This steamer was an undecorated version of this series steamer. There is a ESU Lok-Sound decoder and speaker in the tender for sound functions as well as a Lenz mini silver decoder for motor functions.

ATSF F-7 Units are leaving the Diesel Service Yard. A PRR GG-1 #4913 is on the mainline with a consist of four heavyweight passenger cars.
